Other comments:Se trata de un gran proyecto de extracción de cobre por la empresa china Chinalco, el proyecto Toromocho, que implica (como en el caso de Cerro de Pasco) el desplazamiento de una población entera.

Los concentrados de Toromocho serán almacenados y exportados por el Puerto El Callao, lo que contribuiría con el problema de contaminación de este. (reubicación de población).
