Description:

Pigneto lake was created in 1992 by the construction of a huge shopping mall on the ruins of an old textile factory, the SNIA Factory. During the excavation work for the foundation of the giant centre, a branch of groundwater Acqua Bullicante was broke and submerged the entire area, creating a lake of about 10,000 m2.
